Folia is a personal information management tool that helps families organize, store, and share household information such as schedules, contacts, and caregiver instructions.

Information stored in Folia — including allergies, medications, and health notes — is entered by users and is not reviewed, validated, or verified by Folia. Folia does not provide medical, legal, financial, or any other professional advice. Nothing in the service should be construed as such.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Folia account. By using Folia, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are creating an account on behalf of a family or household, you represent that you have the authority to do so.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@withfolia.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts for people other than yourself without their explicit consent. Each household should have one primary account, with additional members invited through Folia's sharing features.
You own your data. The information you enter into Folia — your family's profiles, schedules, health notes, and other content — belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.
By using Folia, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (such as our database provider, Supabase) or as required by law.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. Folia stores what you tell it — we do not verify, fact-check, or validate any information you enter.
You agree to use Folia only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
Folia offers both a free Essential plan and a paid Family plan at $9 per month. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days notice. We will notify you by email before any price change takes effect.
The Folia sitter brief generator is available free of charge without creating an account. By using the sitter brief generator, you agree that the information you enter will be processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your brief, and your email address will be added to our mailing list so we can send you a copy of your brief. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Folia allows you to share your family's information with other people you invite. By sharing your information with another person, you take responsibility for that sharing decision. Please share only with people you trust. Folia is not responsible for how recipients use information you choose to share with them.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Folia and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
This includes but is not limited to: damages arising from reliance on information stored in Folia (including health or medical information), loss of data, service interruptions, or unauthorized access to your account.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Folia shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Folia is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information stored in the service will be accurate or current.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Folia and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.
Your use of Folia is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at withfolia.com/privacy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@withfolia.com. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Folia after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of California.
